Participation in the Alla Breve Flute Choir is open to all AFS members who are 14 or older and is a FREE benefit of your AFS membership! Alla Breve includes two rehearsals and a performance (please note, you must be present for at least one of the rehearsals in order to participate in the performance).
Rehearsals will be held on Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 16 from
10am-12:30pm at Shadow Rock United Church of Christ.
Meet the Guest Conductor:
Dylan Cook
Dylan K. Cook (They/Them/Theirs) is a flutist, educator, and conductor based in Tucson, Arizona. Dylan graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance, and has conducted with the UA Wind Symphony, the Pima Community College Orchestra, the Flowing Wells HS Instrumental Music Program, and the premier flute ensemble Flutefinity. They are currently studying conducting under Dr. Chad Nicholson in addition to operating a private studio that specializes in flute pedagogy based in kinesiological study and application. Dylan is also active in educational research as a recent clinician for the 2026 Arizona Music Education Conference.
