Come for an Autumn Affair! Nov. 21

Julie Euber

The Arizona Flute Society (AFS) is hosting its fifth annual benefit concert to provide scholarships and educational opportunities to promising flute students and the greater community.

This year’s event will be at the beautiful ASU Kerr Cultural Center in Scottsdale and feature guest artist Elizabeth Buck, Associate Professor of Flute at Arizona State University. The recital will be a rare opportunity to experience her solo performance in an intimate setting.

In addition, a silent auction will be held to support AFS’s student scholarships and educational programming. AFS cultivates a vibrant flute community throughout the state through generous donations and fundraising efforts.

Funds raised at next month’s Autumn Affair will support AFS scholarships and programming in 2016.

Refreshments will include a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts. The event is on Saturday, November 21st, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the ASU Kerr Cultural Center, 6110 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85253. Call the Kerr Center box office to purchase tickets. (480) 596-2660. Tickets: $25 for AFS members; $40 for non-members
