AFS Member Sherry Finzer released a healing/meditation album this past fall with multi-instrumentalist Tom Moore, called Whispers from Silence, which reached #9 in October and #10 in November 2016 on the Zone Music Reporter Chart. Whispers from Silence is currently in the first round of voting for ZMR Album of the Year, as well as her previous two releases in 2016, Majestica – In the Midst of Stars with multi-instrumentalist Cass Anawaty, and Trialogue - Sherry Finzer, guitarist Darin Mahoney, and pan-global percussionist Will Clipman.
Trialogue will be performing in the Music in the Garden Concert Series at Desert Botanical Gardens 7-9pm on Friday, April 7th. Tickets can be purchased at www.dbg.org/music-garden. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
Sherry’s label, Heart Dance Records, released a holiday compilation album that was carried at Basha’s and AJ’s stores around the valley, and featured AFS Member Nathan Tsosie on Native American flute.
In the works for 2017 is a recording with Australian based, low-flute specialist, Peter Sheridan, tentatively scheduled for a summer 2017 release.
