Thank you to all of the AFS members who filled out the 2015 member survey! Your comments are very valuable to the board.
Here are the results of the survey and our plans of action:
-On average, members feel that flute choirs, flute competition/festival and master classes are the most important aspects of AFS.
This is great feedback. We will continue to support these aspects of our programming and expand them when possible.
-Members showed interest in a wide variety of new activities including music-based community service and discounted/free tours of local music organizations, but were particularly interested in opportunities to perform in small flute ensembles.
Stay tuned for future programming that incorporates your interests in new AFS activities. We hope to roll out new opportunities soon.
-Several members mentioned that many AFS activities are not as helpful for them, but recognize them as important for younger members and the organization as a whole.
Thank you for supporting our endeavors to provide opportunities and support to young musicians. With your feedback, we feel confident in expanding this portion of our programming. That being said, we want to make sure we are serving the needs of all of our members. Feel free to reach out to us if you have ideas for events geared towards our adult members.
-Several members were excitd about the AFS music library and wanted to know how to access it.
Click here to learn more about our music library.
-One member felt out of the loop and wanted a better idea of what was going on at board meetings.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. You can now view our meeting minutes on our "About" page.
If you requested to be contacted about your comments and have not yet heard from us, expect to hear from us soon.
Again, THANK YOU to all AFS members who took time out of their busy days to provide feedback. Have something we missed? Contact us at arizonaflutesociety@gmail.com.
